Views of Woorabinda
OK, you want to have a look around - here goes then.
Yard
In front of the house there is a yard, as displayed below.

House
Looking from the farmyard, this is the front side of the house (click on image for larger version)
Walking around to the left, one sees this side of the house (click on image for larger version)

Garden
On the side of the yard opposite the house there are a veggie garden and orchard.
This is our veggie garden and part of the orchard (click on image for larger version)
Swinging around to the left, here the other half of the orchard (click on image for larger version)
Turning further to the left one can see the back entrance to the property, with the old windmill (click on image for larger version)
Paddocks
Here a spectacular rainbow over a paddock on Woorabinda; this image is a composite of two exposures (click on image for larger version)
The not-so-nice background of the photo above is that - despite all that water coming down - on that day, as for the rest of that 4-month period, we received not a single drop of rain at our place.
Our new greenhouse
In 2005 we built a basic greenhouse in which we can protect some of our plants from the scorching sunlight in summer (click on image for larger version)
Flood of 10 December 2004
Here a comparison of two areas during the flood and after, when everything was dry again.

Note that the images on the right show what must be considered the "normal" condition. Bohena Creek is normally all dry, except...
Here a different view following our power line (click on images for larger versions)
There is a second creek that passes by the backside of the property (and damaged some fences there), which cut us off from contact with the rest of the world for a day and a half.
Bushfire of 25 December 2005
On 25 December 2005 a bushfire raged in the Pilliga scrub, about 20 km south of Woorabinda. The smoke cloud was about 50 km long; first it followed the low-altitude wind eastward before turning into a more northerly direction, creating an almost complete semi-circle around us. The picture below is a composite made out of four wide-angle exposures.

At times the smoke became pretty thick, as can be seen in the following photo taken on the morning of 26 December.
