Environment of spirals
and groups of galaxies
As "by-products" of the research on disk-halo interactions,/I> in actively star-forming galaxies, a couple of other investigations were carried out, e.g. of the HI gas in a number of galaxies and their environment:
- NGC 1792 - surprising radio properties (M. Dahlem 1992, A&A, 264, 483),/I>
- The distribution and nature of star formation regions in NGC 1792 (M. Dahlem et al. 1994a, ApJ, 432, 590),/I>
- ROSAT Observations of the X-Ray Nebula around ARP 220 (T. Heckman et al. 1996, ApJ, 457, 616),/I>
- The mysterious HI deficiency of NGC 3175 (M. Dahlem et al. 2001a, A&A, 371, 45),/I>
- A search for intergalactic HI gas in the NGC 1808 group of galaxies (M. Dahlem et al. 2001b, A&A, 373, 485),/I>
- What perturbs NGC 2188? (H. Domgörgen et al. 1996, A&A, 313, 96),/I>
- The Superwind Galaxy NGC 4666: Gravitational Interactions and the Influence of the Resulting Starburst on the Interstellar Medium (F. Walter et al. 2004, ApJ, 606, 258),/I>
- Intergalactic neutral hydrogen gas in the Grus quartet of galaxies (M. Dahlem 2005, A&A, 429, L5),/I>
